"You sure you're going to be okay?" Trever asked Kale. He wanted to reach up and brush some hair from his twin's face... but that would have been wrong. They were trying to be separate.

"I'll be fine, promise. I'm not going to leave the house. Tobias and I'll be fine. I promise," Kale said, looking a bit wistful. He wanted to go too. But... he couldn't. Too dangerous. The last thing they needed was for something to trigger off Kale turning into something like Nihilus.

Trever hesitated and then gave Kale a hug. Hugs were safe. Kale hugged him back. "I'll miss you."

"Me too."

"Right, okay. I'll try and keep you updated as often as possible."

"Good. Now go on. Shoo."

Trever stuck his tongue out, but left to find Axis. It felt weird going to find their father body or alive. He didn't know which would be worse.

Well, everyone knows where Trever's loyalties lie. And Trever is also a fairly decent pilot, even without rooting around Revan's memories. He has skill and doesn't need to rely on luck so much.

After muttering to himself as he checks a few of the readings he says, "So, we're going to Garqi, right? D'you know a short cut? Cause it's out on the outer rim."

Well there's luck and then there's Axis. Though he doesn't even know he's got a whisper of Force sensitivity; he just knows he knows how to work most machines.

"It's the Nexus. There's always a portal that leads right where you want to go. And I've already scouted it out."

One would think that he had some Force Sensitivity, look at how powerful his son is. Trever's family is leaking with it. Or was, before they all DIED horribly.

"Oh, good. I never got a handle on the portal things."

True, but then Revan was more or less the Chosen One of his era; they're all heinously powerful. And all seem to go to the Dark Side and try to eradicate the Jedi. Hrm...

He chuckles. "I exist because of them. Besides, travelling back and forth and all."

No one ever said that the Chosen One was a good thing for the galaxy.

"Yeah... never really had the time to do that. Maybe after this I will." He pauses for a moment. "Would it be okay if we stopped by and check up on my mom while we're over there?"

Well when your purpose is to balance the Force and one side is obviously more powerful than the other...

He glances over to him, tapping a bit more at the console and setting it on autopilot. "Sure. It'd probably be the best place to start, anyway. Where you saw your father last, right?"

"Yeah... he was going into the city to get some parts for one of the tractors." He looks sad for a moment. "Didn't come back."

He reaches over and puts a hand on Trever's head. "We'll find him. Start at your house, follow the trail to the city, and see if we can pick up the scent there, eh?"

He shakes his head from under the hand, but with a smile. Axis is acting very Daddish.

"Hopefully. It's been a while though. Haven't a clue how to pick up a trail so cold. Kale could ... or... well... before... he could have." He gives his head a shake.

Well, he's used to acting Daddish; he's Daddish to Revan and Dann, after all, and almost-Daddish to Tobias.

"We'll find it. The conventional way. The Sith couldn't have killed everyone that knew, now could they?"

Would that make him granddadish to Kale and Trever?

"I wouldn't think so... but they're not Sith, dark siders... but not Sith. Kree'sha said that there could only be two, the Master and Apprentice everyone else ... aren't." He stares out the window for a moment. "Mom's gonna be pissed."

He's never thought that far, since his line more or less ends with Revan.

"Only two? Hm. I think Revan mentioned that. Doesn't make sense, if you ask me. Dark Side's the Dark Side, and they'll squabble and backstab each other regardless." He looks over at him. "And why do you say that?"

He's already sort of acting that way.

"I think it's the... stuff they teach you that makes the difference. Different philosophies... you know, like there's all the different Force Using traditions. Kree'sha was teaching me Jedi ways." He gives Axis a look, "Because Kale and I haven't contacted her since we left home and Kale's not with us."

"It might matter to the Force User, yes, but to the rest of us, there's only ever been Jedi and Sith, and they've only ever been branches of the same religion to people not in those circles. But interesting, that Dark Siders are teaching Jedi philosophies. She using their code as well?"

He grins. "I'm almost glad I never had to deal with that. She'll be happy to see you're okay. Mad but relieved."

"No, not the code so much, just their methods." He finds it kinda weird talking about this. He's not talked about his time with the Kree'sha, even with Kale.

"She's gonna ground me." He doesn't seem to be too happy about the up-coming meeting. "Oh... we're going to have to land outside the farm and walk in. Unless you want my mom to shoot us."

"Curious. She throw in any other methods? Baran Do, Zeison Sha?" For a Jedi killer and a hard-ass, he can be surprisingly amiable and open. Not to mention he's obviously not going to judge him.

He chuckles. "You'll be fine." And he gives the top of the console an affectionate pat. "This baby's too pretty to get dinged up. Walking isn't a problem."

"Never heard of the first. A little of the second." It's highly unlikely that Kree'sha would be wanting Trever to figure what's going to happen to him in the future.

"Well, if I'm not. I'll just blame you," he says cheerfully.

"Hm. Always prefered the former." Most of the ones he'd met had put up less of a fight.

He snorts. "Gee, thanks. You're so kind to the only person who'd agree to do this."

He shrugs. "I couldn't say, dunno what the former is."

"It's my mother. She's scary." He's still being cheerful.

"They can see into the future, farther and with more accuracy than the Jedi. I've heard that Revan studied with them, and Tobias wears their robes."

"Mandalorian," he reminds him cooly. "And what's got you all perky?"

"Huh... interesting."

"Mmhmm..." And then, "I'm going home... I haven't been home in ages it seems like. I miss it."

"I know you two get along about as well as kath hounds and kinrath, but you could always talk to Revan about it. He might be willing to help with the meditation of it, at least."

He smiles. "See, it's not going to be that bad. You'll get to go back, for a while at least." Though you might find you've outgrown it, he doesn't say.

He doesn't ask 'why'. Instead he says, "Kale said that Tobias said that Revan said he might help Kale with his slicing."

"Yeah." He probably has. But that doesn't stop him from missing it.

Revan's just realized that a lot of the old teachings have been lost. And there isn't anything he hates more than the loss of knowledge. Besides, who doesn't want foresight? "That's a lot of saids. But he probably would, yes. He's an excellent slicer; no reason not to pass that on."

A talent for foresight does run in the family. It's how their father survived Order 66.

"I didn't hear it directly," he says with a slight smile. "The teacher might be willing... but the student is still hurt."
