"You sure you're going to be okay?" Trever asked Kale. He wanted to reach up and brush some hair from his twin's face... but that would have been wrong. They were trying to be separate.

"I'll be fine, promise. I'm not going to leave the house. Tobias and I'll be fine. I promise," Kale said, looking a bit wistful. He wanted to go too. But... he couldn't. Too dangerous. The last thing they needed was for something to trigger off Kale turning into something like Nihilus.

Trever hesitated and then gave Kale a hug. Hugs were safe. Kale hugged him back. "I'll miss you."

"Me too."

"Right, okay. I'll try and keep you updated as often as possible."

"Good. Now go on. Shoo."

Trever stuck his tongue out, but left to find Axis. It felt weird going to find their father body or alive. He didn't know which would be worse.

Axis isn't difficult to find; he's in the Ebon Hawk (which he harrassed Revan into letting him borrow), putting on the last few bits of his armor. Shinguards, gauntlets, bracers. He gives the bracers a couple affectionate taps as he straps them on.

Then he runs his hands over the large blaster rifle straped to his hip. A Mandalorian Ripper, one of the most powerful blasters he could get his hands on.

And then his fingers graze the lightsaber hilt on the other side of his belt, and the saber lashed across his back, and grins widely. He feels ready to face any hostiles they come across now.

Well, good, he can play meat shield. Trever has no armor and has no idea how to use it. But he's fast and knows how to hide so that should keep him out of some trouble. He's not that heavily armed, just a blaster with spare energy packs and his lightsaber.

Axis maybe ready to face any hostiles, but can he face the Twins' mother? XD

"I feel under-dressed," he says looking up at Axis and his armor.

The armor's a dull black, broken with splotches of dark green and trimmed in deep red. It's also quite similar to Boba Fett's. Axis chuckles and raps on the breastplate. "Wearing the beskar'gam is a way of life for the Mandalorian. Besides, one of us has to be fully prepared."

Trever's never heard of Boba Fett so he wouldn't make the connection.

"Yes. Which is why you get to go first whenever we walk into some where that might be dangerous." He grins.

That's unfortunate. But really, Axis has never heard mention of Boba Fett either, just that this is the latest update of the armor he used to wear.

He rolls his eyes. "Don't say things like that, it makes you sound like a hu'tuun," he rumbles, smiling slightly. "We should get going."

"Nah... just practical. I do rather like being alive." He pauses and shakes his head for a second as if he's got something in his ear. Frowning for a moment he then shrugs and climbs up into the ship. "I borrowed Kale's breaking and entering stuff."

"Good. It'll be useful. I never was very canny with locks." He is, however, very canny with the controls of ships, which is probably why he's heading for the controls. "Better with just... beating the door down and then beating everything behind the door."

Seated in the main hold is John, otherwise known as Axis's other body, who is reading a book. "You're so friendly, Axis," he mutters sarcastically.

Trever gives the other man a startled look. More of a 'what's he doing here' than a 'who is he' look.

"Hello," he says before dropping into the co-pilot's chair.

Axis settles into the pilot's chair and his hands start moving over the console like he's piloted this ship all his life. "We'll need another gunner if we run into trouble, and besides, his telepathy could prove useful. The boy can handle himself perfectly well."

He almost says then maybe we should have brought Kale, but he bites down on that. Besides, John's expendable. Kale isn't. "All right."

Trever starts going over his side of the console with some confidence. He spent some time in the cockpit when he lived in the Hawk. That and he has some residual memories from Kale who got them from Revan.

John would take umbridge with that. And Axis probably would too; it took a lot of time to get John to let him in.

Axis's confidence isn't entirely from rooting around in Revan's memories; after all, he only flew when Canderous let him, and then he only flew as co-pilot. The real reason has a lot more to do with 'there is no luck, there is...'
He smiles quietly as the ship rumbles to life and lifts off. "Atta girl."

Well, everyone knows where Trever's loyalties lie. And Trever is also a fairly decent pilot, even without rooting around Revan's memories. He has skill and doesn't need to rely on luck so much.

After muttering to himself as he checks a few of the readings he says, "So, we're going to Garqi, right? D'you know a short cut? Cause it's out on the outer rim."

Well there's luck and then there's Axis. Though he doesn't even know he's got a whisper of Force sensitivity; he just knows he knows how to work most machines.

"It's the Nexus. There's always a portal that leads right where you want to go. And I've already scouted it out."

One would think that he had some Force Sensitivity, look at how powerful his son is. Trever's family is leaking with it. Or was, before they all DIED horribly.

"Oh, good. I never got a handle on the portal things."

True, but then Revan was more or less the Chosen One of his era; they're all heinously powerful. And all seem to go to the Dark Side and try to eradicate the Jedi. Hrm...

He chuckles. "I exist because of them. Besides, travelling back and forth and all."

No one ever said that the Chosen One was a good thing for the galaxy.

"Yeah... never really had the time to do that. Maybe after this I will." He pauses for a moment. "Would it be okay if we stopped by and check up on my mom while we're over there?"

Well when your purpose is to balance the Force and one side is obviously more powerful than the other...

He glances over to him, tapping a bit more at the console and setting it on autopilot. "Sure. It'd probably be the best place to start, anyway. Where you saw your father last, right?"

"Yeah... he was going into the city to get some parts for one of the tractors." He looks sad for a moment. "Didn't come back."

He reaches over and puts a hand on Trever's head. "We'll find him. Start at your house, follow the trail to the city, and see if we can pick up the scent there, eh?"

He shakes his head from under the hand, but with a smile. Axis is acting very Daddish.

"Hopefully. It's been a while though. Haven't a clue how to pick up a trail so cold. Kale could ... or... well... before... he could have." He gives his head a shake.

Well, he's used to acting Daddish; he's Daddish to Revan and Dann, after all, and almost-Daddish to Tobias.

"We'll find it. The conventional way. The Sith couldn't have killed everyone that knew, now could they?"

Would that make him granddadish to Kale and Trever?

"I wouldn't think so... but they're not Sith, dark siders... but not Sith. Kree'sha said that there could only be two, the Master and Apprentice everyone else ... aren't." He stares out the window for a moment. "Mom's gonna be pissed."

He's never thought that far, since his line more or less ends with Revan.

"Only two? Hm. I think Revan mentioned that. Doesn't make sense, if you ask me. Dark Side's the Dark Side, and they'll squabble and backstab each other regardless." He looks over at him. "And why do you say that?"

He's already sort of acting that way.

"I think it's the... stuff they teach you that makes the difference. Different philosophies... you know, like there's all the different Force Using traditions. Kree'sha was teaching me Jedi ways." He gives Axis a look, "Because Kale and I haven't contacted her since we left home and Kale's not with us."

"It might matter to the Force User, yes, but to the rest of us, there's only ever been Jedi and Sith, and they've only ever been branches of the same religion to people not in those circles. But interesting, that Dark Siders are teaching Jedi philosophies. She using their code as well?"

He grins. "I'm almost glad I never had to deal with that. She'll be happy to see you're okay. Mad but relieved."
