"You sure you're going to be okay?" Trever asked Kale. He wanted to reach up and brush some hair from his twin's face... but that would have been wrong. They were trying to be separate.

"I'll be fine, promise. I'm not going to leave the house. Tobias and I'll be fine. I promise," Kale said, looking a bit wistful. He wanted to go too. But... he couldn't. Too dangerous. The last thing they needed was for something to trigger off Kale turning into something like Nihilus.

Trever hesitated and then gave Kale a hug. Hugs were safe. Kale hugged him back. "I'll miss you."

"Me too."

"Right, okay. I'll try and keep you updated as often as possible."

"Good. Now go on. Shoo."

Trever stuck his tongue out, but left to find Axis. It felt weird going to find their father body or alive. He didn't know which would be worse.

Axis looks over to her. "Someone you knew?" he asks, a little curiosity leaking into his voice. Something else that Revan gets from him.

"She was a friend of Calenvir's," she said. "They were at the Temple together."

She looked over at Trever, worried.

"She was one of the few who he kept in contact with."

Axis knits his hands together, thoughtful. "She's just sticking her hands all in your businesses, isn't she?" He thinks someone needs to get rid of that woman, but he could hardly do that in this body.

John straightens a little, turning away from the paintings. "We came here to try to find your husband, and that's possibly the most useful piece of information you could have given us, ma'am."

"Find him? You think he might still be alive?" she asks cautiously, obviously not wanting to hope, least it gets dashed.

"But Kalntrev said they couldn't sense him any more," Naldin said, speaking up for the first time.

"We hope. It's my experience that Sith don't kill the valuable Jedi, and considering how much they want your sons..." Axis shrugs. "If not that, then to bring his body back, for absolution and a proper burial."

John looks over to Naldin. "Doesn't necessarily mean he's dead. It could just be difficult to sense him."
"Or he could have been trying to protect you all by disappearing from all spectrums," Axis adds.

Talia studies Trever who is staring down at his shoes. It's amazing how quickly a person can be reduced to a ten year old when faced with their mother. "That is odd... that they want them so much. Usually they just kill them if they can't convert them. And yet they've been trying to capture them."

Axis totally sympathizes; moms are scary people, yo. "That bond of theirs... That level of connection would be an incredible boon to the Sith, whether they're used in battle or in interrogation. My son calls it unnatural." He pauses for a few moments, turning the gold band on his ring finger slowly. "However, there was a complication..." It's putting it mildly, he knows, but he doesn't want to get into a 'whodunnit' match with these people when he tells them what happened.

"A complication..." Talia says, that commander's tone creeping back into her voice saying 'this better be good or else'. "What sort of complication?"

Both her sons squirm at this voice. They've obviously been had it inflicted upon them before.

Axis is unaffected by that tone; he's gotten it a million times from his commanding officers and has learned to take it in stride. John, however, twitches slightly. "There was an incident involving his psychometry, and he was severed from the Force. Which is why we were unable to bring him," the Mandalorian says calmly.

Talia frowns for a moment, trying to recall everything that she's heard about the Force. Her husband didn't talk much about it once the twins were born, so it's been a while. Finally she says, "There must be something more to it than just a severing. Calenvir has mentioned that it's happened before, but nothing dangerous..."

Axis sighs lightly, pinching the bridge of his nose. "When he was severed, it was so utter that it... how did the Exile put it... it left a wound in the Force. Like... a black hole."

"If he was trained, he would be capable of sucking the Force out of other sentients," John explains quietly, finally sitting down on the arm of Axis's chair.

Lips thin as Talia looks at Trever for conformation. He nods hesitantly.

"Wonderful... just... I have a thing or two to say to whoever did it." By her hand on the rifle, they may not be actual verbal words. "But that is not here nor there. You want to know about my husband?"

"I don't think there's anything you could do to him that would hurt him more than he has been already, ma'am," John says.

Axis nods. "Whatever you could tell us about his past associations and the time before he disappeared would be extremely helpful."

She's silent for a moment. "He was never very happy with the way the Council was going, especially in regards to what became the Clone war. He left a few years before, actually. He had a vision or something... about the death of the Jedi... I don't know why he didn't tell anyone. He wouldn't talk about it."

"Before he disappeared ... I don't know. He was trying to get in contact with the rebel alliance and seeing about finding other Jedi. But the day he disappeared, he went into the town for supplies. One our tractors needed new parts."

"Town would be a decent place to start," John murmurs thoughtfully. "Someone would have to have seen him there, where he went on to... or if somebody took him."

"It seems like there's always a problem with the Council. As for not talking about his vision... That kind of thing isn't something that any Jedi would talk about." Axis hadn't felt it himself, but he'd heard stories. Bad ones.

"Naldin go get the address of the parts dealer," Talia said. The older son got up and vanished for a moment, before coming back with a datapad.

"It has the guy's address and some of the other places Dad usually went when he went in town."

Axis takes the datapad, looking through it. "This is good. This is very good. Someone has to have to some clue as to where he went to after getting to town."

John nudges him and he looks back up. "Mrs. Delvar, could I ask you to keep an eye on my ship while Jast and I go into town? It would be faster and less conspicuous if we rode swoops in than if we parked a ship."
"Could we also take Trever with us?" John adds softly.

She looks at Trever thoughtfully. "Yes. All right. Just bring him back alive." She says, not at all saying about him being hurt. She figures that they'll make sure he's not hurt. "And yes, I'll keep an eye on your ship. It's a very beautiful ship." She has an Ooh shiny look in her eyes.

John nods. "We will."

Axis grins. "She's a survivor if ever there was one. Got my son out of many a tough spot. Got him into a few, too, but most ships do that to their owners."

"I had a ship once... got me into enough trouble. Then I got married and had kids who also get me into tough spots."

Both boys look elsewhere.

He chuckles. "Children can do that a lot. Especially the Force sensitive ones." He would know. "But at least the ship won't talk back and you can fix it if it's not running how you would like it to."

"I don't know what I would do with three Force sensitive children. Kalntrev were difficult enough."

Naldin grins and ruffles Trever's hair. "See? I was the good one." Trever swats at him.

Rolling her eyes at her children, Talia turns her attention back to Axis, "I have a pair of swoop bikes if you need them. You should probably get going, there's a curfew in the city."

"One is enough to cause problems, if you ask me. I applaude you for lasting through those two." He chuckles at the brothers' antics. "We'll be happy for the help; we only have one on the Hawk and my son was very specific about what it was to be used for and who was to ride it."

"Trever, go show them the bikes, I'm going to grab a few things you might need." She stands up and makes a shooing motion.

Trever grins a bit, and leads John and Axis to the garage. There are, as promised, two swoop bikes. They're in good condition if a bit old. One of them appears to have been decorated and Trever gives that one a fond pat.

"Yours?" Axis asks with a grin, sweeping his hand over the other one. "These will be good. Jast, go get the one out of the Ebon Hawk. Be gentle with it."

John nods and heads out toward the ship.
